  1. It is very interesting that you compared Jane to Tess which we have a better understanding of. It would be interesting to try and use this method to teach kids about the Victorian just to see if they actually understand and learn through this.

  2. I thought it was very creative how you used a simple method to compare Jane Eyre to a story widely known and loved. However one thing you can add to the middle section is each female protagonists' demonstartion of their worth to society. Cinderella's example is where she can show her beauty and true personality to the prince at the ball. Jane's occurs when she becomes a governess at Thornfield, showing her intelligence despite her lack luster economic status and background.

  3. what would've also been a great contrast is the fact that Jane was always described as plain and ugly while Cinderella was the beautiful girl hidden underneath rags.

  5. This is very interesting, I would have never though to compare Jane Eyre to Cinderella but you make many good points. The women in both stories go through similar journeys. Although one is a light-hearted fable and the other is much more gloomy, and is almost as if Jane Eyre is an adult version of Cinderella. Also don't forget that Cinderella married the prince (right?) and Jane Eyre came into money and got to marry her love, Mr. Rochester.
