Oh Blogging..

Blogging. Everytime blog sheets are do my team and I find ourselves cringing at the thought of having to rumage through the rest of the blogs trying to find something interesting to comment on. Everytime before this last one its the same old story. Everyone posting about the same book or the same assignment or discussion we had in class. This time however, and the last time at that, blogs are filling up with posts about graduation and college that seems ever so close now. Looking back on the year maybe it would have been wothwhile to continue blogging about things that are more interesting or more entertaining to comment about (not that there is anything wrong with blogging about our AP Lit class). Speaking for my team at least, I would have loved to read about more than just the experiences we have had in the classroom and more of the real world situations we will be cast into shortly. Although The Justice League may not have been the most persistant bloggers we certainly fulfilled the duty of doing so in a descent manner. Ultimately however, this last blog sesh has turned out to be one of my personal favorites because I am beggining to see where my classmates are destined to be come next fall and its all quite exciting, and unfortunately bittersweet. Oh blogging.. this is the end. :)

  1. Finally, someone that is not always outspoken has spoken the hidden truth-in public, and on an assignment. I strongly agree that blogging on worldly experiences would have been much more exciting to read, but I believe what Mrs. Elliott wanted us to learn from this experience is how to gain extra knowledge and views on what we learned in the classroom. We have many other opportunites to discuss other topics such as who you think will become the next president, but not many conversations bring up the english courses...such as books, analytical devices, analogies, etc.

  2. I have to agree with Shanyce because blogging for an english class probably should include english topics. Overall, I think blogging was a very good tool because it allowed everyone to express their opinion and it showed what other students are thinking other than what the teacher taught them.

I actually think im going to miss blogging and freaking out every time the blog sheets were due. aha but i totally agree with you that this time everyone seemed to want to talk about more than just English, and i think in a way that was refreshing. I really like this post!!

  4. oh how true this blog is, and it's actually probably my favorite one yet. I agree with the reading part because i found myself liking more and more of different genres that i thought i would never like. But the year is at it's end and i appreciate all my English teachers because they got me ready for college.

  5. Oh blogging. I like the blogging, i just get behind on it. I feel like Mrs. Elliott wanted us to connect our experiences with what we learned in class for the blogs. In other words how the stuff she teaches is relevant to us in life.
